Chrysalides

We now have  one caterpillar and 34 chrysalides. As I was checking to see to see if we had any caterpillars left hanging in a “J shape” I was able to record a bit of the transformation from caterpillar to chrysalis. Check out the links below.

All of the students came to my office yesterday and today to see what the caterpillars/chrysalides were doing. Next week will be the move to the butterfly houses.

Caterpillar Day 11

Day 11 of the caterpillars and we have seen that they have grown. We have two that are hanging in their “J shape” which means they will be making their chrysalis soon.

🐛Caterpillars/days 1-6

Our caterpillars have arrived and have had a few days with the students. They have all seen the caterpillars and will continue to watch them as they eat and grow. I will take a picture of them each day and will post it on the blog so they can share with you the exciting growth that happens.
