Another egg experiment. Once again using a hard boiled egg but this time using vinegar. The acetic acid in the vinegar will dissolve the calcium carbonate in the egg shell.
There is one more egg in the refrigerator at school. This time, it is a raw egg in vinegar. The students will get to see this egg later this week.

The Five Year Old Classes used eggs to learn about teeth brushing.
Start with a clean hard boiled egg
and a bottle of cola
let the egg sit in the cola for a few days
and voila, you have a stained egg
use a toothbrush and some toothpaste and the stain starts to disappear
A little STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) at the preschool level. We enjoyed figuring out which padding would protect the eggs the best.
